His current research interest is to investigate the antiepileptic mechanism of nutraceuticals and other antioxidant compounds using rodent models. He also intended to explore the expression and localization of voltage-gated ion channels, regulation of oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction, and neurodegeneration in the context of epilepsy and antiepileptic agents.
